Guess who's coming to dinner? Shirley Muldowney, Don Garlits, and Larry Dixon just to name a few are coming along with NHRA announcer Bob Frey as the emcee at the Legends Dinner and live auction, taking place on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. in the Avalon Room at Fairplex.
Guests will surely enjoy a trip down Winternationals past with Bob Frey and the legends who lived it. Join us in support of the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum, presented by Automobile Club of Southern California, celebrating 12 amazing years of preserving motorsports history.
The event will also include a charity component in which money will be raised via a premium-item live auction for the Museum.
Auction items include:
- Framed Roof hatch from John Force Castrol GT Mustang Funny Car circa 2005
with American flag signed by John Force and his team mounted in a shadow box complete with a die cast of the real car, donated by John Force and SEMA.
- 50th Kragen O'Reilly NHRA Winternationals presented by Valvoline banner (approx. 30ft by 80ft) signed by the Legends and numerous other racers, donated by NHRA.
- Hawaiian T/F Dragster, a two-time Winternationals winner, painting (approx. 8ft by 4ft) by renowned artist Robert Carter, donated by Robert Carter.

Proceeds from the auction benefit the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum, presented by Automobile Club of Southern California.
"As a small museum with limited funds, we thank each and every individual for contributing to our success and look forward to celebrating with you on the weekend of the 50th Anniversary of the NHRA Winternationals in Pomona," said Tony Thacker, the Museum's Executive Director.
Legend's Dinner Tickets are $125 per person and tables (10 per table) can be purchased for $1100 by calling 800-884-NHRA.
